I was looking through the photos we have taken of Jude in the last week and every one we took was of him in either our little pool or our neighbor's pool. So we have another swimming photo on the blog this week. Every day was 90 or above and the outlook in the same for this week. Bring on fall.
This week we installed baby gates in our house because Jude is now crawling all over the place. With a three story house, we want to make sure we can keep Jude on the same level as us at all times. He certainly doesn't get the concept of stairs yet and we certainly don't want him tumbling down them.
With Marcy in Ridhwan classes I got to hang out with Jude all weekend. Unfortunately it was too hot to go outside much so we spent a lot of the weekend in the cool of our basement. With the new Harry Potter book released on Saturday morning, I must admit I spent a good part of my weekend with my head in a book, playing less with Jude than I normally would. But he let me know when he got bored, at which time he was pretty insistent that I stop reading and play with him.
Our one adventure of the weekend was to go next door to Max's 2nd birthday party. There were lots of kids there, and some were close to the same age as Jude, although most were older. He likes seeing other kids and he was engaged the whole time. He had a swim in their bigger pool - it was actually a bit too big for Jude because he couldn't crawl around in it without his head going under, which he did a couple of times. Apart from that we hung out at home, with Jude continuing to work on his crawling.
